Bluefest Cruise

After exploring Fethiye for a week or so we picked up our day packs and boarded the ‘Bluefest’ for a four day cruise. Oooooo, Ahhhhh. We spent time playing backgammon, swimming, and jumping off the rocks of Butterfly valley. In our days at sea me and my brother, Grant, enjoyed special treatment from the crew (Sunny was his name.) He and his team made special mocktails with orange juice and pomegranate syrup. We were able to explore the southern coast of Turkey from the deep blue waters of the Mediterranean. The best part of the trip was at night we slept under the stars by pulling the canopy back and bringing up all our pillows and blankets. The only bad part of sleeping up on the deck were the mosquitoes that feasted on my checks. We had five meals a day provided; breakfast, lunch, tea time (my favorite, because of the wafer cookies), dinner and fruit dessert. At night we played games including; pitch, 31, Salad Bowl (a new hit for everyone), Euchre, BS, and Jester. A great part of the cruise was meeting the other travelers from different parts of the world.
