This week we went to the Natural History Museum in Ljubljana. At the museum we saw a bunch of animals, even bones of a Woolly Mammoth found in Slovenia. It was huge and the bones were black. There was a camera on the other side of the room that showed the Mammoth in the winter walking through the snow and ice. There were about five rooms and one had a cave that showed stalagmites and stalactites. Slovenia is full of caves because of the rock that makes up the land. We used audio players to walk through the museum that gave a lot of information about the displays throughout the room.
After the museum we were sitting outside on the steps and I saw a cool tree to climb. We spent a lot of time climbing up to a high point, and I did it. I got to the top after a few tries. At first we tried to run up the limb and then cling to it before shimmying the rest of the way. But we realized there was a better way. Mom had to catch me a few times.
Also in Ljubljana we walked around a neighborhood that was covered in spray paint. There was also a structure that was three stories tall and we played a game on it. Grant was the watcher, Mom was the bad girl and I was just running a muck making sure mom wasn’t about to attack us. At one point I was dangling from the structure because mom caught me by my ankles. It all ended well and I was safe. It was pretty cool and a little creepy. See below…..

You sure are filling your brains AND keeping your bodies active! Not to mention language and the arts! A great month of World School, I’d say!! Looks like you continue to make “something out of nothing,” as Grant said😊. Can’t wait to hear about travels in Turkey. Hope you can make it to some of the stops I suggested. Stay safe. Love to you all🥰

Wow Liv! First of all, that neighborhood all spray painted looks pretty cool. I wonder if there was a special name for it, or just something the people decided to do? You are seeing some really cool things, and getting in lots of exercise too. The tree is wild looking, and that structure is fun. I’m going to need to look up a picture of a Wooly Mammoth to remind myself what they looked like. How lucky are you all to have these amazing experiences. . . and how lucky are we to live vicariously (asked your mom or dad) through your travels!! Love to you and your family.
Hugs, Aunt Mary
